Mary Cay Marchione Ricci is an education consultant and speaker. She was previously the Supervisor of Advanced and Enriched Instruction for Prince Georges County Public Schools, Coordinator of Gifted and Talented Education for Baltimore County Public Schools, and an instructional specialist in the Division of Enriched and Accelerated Instruction for Montgomery County Public Schools, MD. Mary Cay holds a master’s degree that includes certification in gifted and talented education and administration and supervision from Johns Hopkins University, where she was a faculty associate in the Graduate School of Education for 8 years. She completed her undergraduate degree in elementary education at Mercyhurst University. Mary Cay also has experience as an elementary and middle school teacher. In 2010 and 2017, she received awards for state leadership in gifted education from the Maryland State Department of Education. Mary Cay is also a frequent presenter at local, state, and national conferences. Her first book, Mindsets in the Classroom: Building a Growth Mindset Learning Community, was a New York Times Education Best Seller. t.
