Christine H Barthold, Ph.D.

Christine H. Barthold, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is a limited term researcher at the Center for Disabilities Studies, University of Delaware. At the university, she coordinates two federally funded research projects dedicated to understanding how children with autism use symbols to communicate. In addition, she holds a private practice working with young children, adolescents, and adults with autism. The main focus of her clinical work is the use of evidence-based strategies, especially Applied Behavior Analysis, with children with ASD in the schools. Dr. Barthold consults with school systems across the country in the use of behavioral assessment and intervention methods with children with ASD. She also consults with families in their homes while providing supplementary Applied Behavior Analysis services.
