Cheryl Price

Cheryl L. Price is currently assistant program director of the Minority Achievement, Resiliency and Success (MARS) program that supports talented minority students enrolled in teacher certification programs. She is also a doctoral candidate in educational leadership at Eastern Michigan University and has a master's degree in educational leadership with an emphasis on higher education administration. Her research focuses on the impact of cultural competency on developing effective educational leaders. Ms. Price has been involved in professional development with teachers and administrators focusing on the development of cultural competency, multicultural education, and effective strategies that address the achievement gap.

She has coauthored a book chapter with Dr. Vernon Polite in The State of African American Males in Michigan. Ms. Price was the recipient of Eastern Michigan University's Woman of the Year award.
