Diana Tabatabai, Ph.D.

Diana Tabatabai started her career as a chemist in Tehran, Iran, with a B.Sc. (Chemistry) before coming to Canada and receiving her M.A. (Educational Planning) from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. She worked as an instructional technology consultant at the Toronto Board of Education before moving to Montreal, where she became a part-time elementary school teacher before pursuing her passion to find ways that empower and engage learners in inquiry-driven classrooms. She earned her Ph.D. in educational psychology at McGill University and became part of the research team as a research associate visiting schools, encouraging teachers to adopt inquiry teaching, and jointly publishing research on inquiry-based learning and teaching.
