Troy Drayton

In his 14 years as a classroom teacher and 8 years as department head, Troy Drayton has served in many additional leadership roles including curriculum writer, instructional coach, professional development provider, and interventionist. Since earning his master’s degree from the University of Houston in educational administration and supervision in 2008, Troy has remained in the classroom because of the challenge and inspiration found through daily interac-tions with the students. In 2012, he was named Texas Association of Gifted and Talented Gulf Coast Teacher of the Year. He specializes in developing practical differentiation strategies, organizing student-centered learning environments, and engaging reluctant learners.
