Jana Kirchner, Ph.D.

Jana Kirchner, Ph.D., is an educational consultant with JK Consulting. She is a retired educator with 27 years of experience in education, which includes being an Instructional Supervisor for Simpson County Schools in Franklin, KY, an assistant professor in the School of Teacher Education at Western Kentucky University, a social studies consultant for Green River Regional Educational Cooperative, and a high school social studies and English teacher. She earned her Ph.D. in educational leadership, with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction, from the University of Louisville. She coauthored Inquiry-Based Lessons in U.S. History: Decoding the Past with Andrew McMichael, Ph.D., and Parenting Gifted Children 101 with Tracy Inman, Ed.D. She also has presented professional development and conference sessions on social studies, gifted topics, differentiation, content literacy, and teaching strategies.
