Twisted True Tales from Science: Explosive Experiments
As the parent of a ten-year-old, we've thoroughly enjoyed Stephanie Bearce’s “Twisted True Tales from Science” series, which is jam-packed with interesting facts for both kids and adults.

From alchemists first developing explosives in 800 AD to the thermobaric explosive designed for the current War on Terror, Stephanie Bearce’s EXPLOSIVE EXPERIMENTS spans thousands of years of explosions. So many interesting stories, from the good (fireworks, building railroads, controlled explosions to fight oil well fires) to the bad (Hindenburg, Apollo 13, Chernobyl), all the way to outer space.

Each of the three sections of this book contains short, easily digestible chapters and hands-on activities in the “Science Lab.”

This is an excellent addition to any home or school library!
