Excellent resource for school administrators and program coordinatorsd
With an increased focus on and support for nontraditional schools, Specialized Schools for High-Ability Learners is a timely resource for educators considering alternatives to traditional schools. The book primarily speaks to specialized schools, however, there are many lessons to be learned from this book for traditional schools and classrooms. Within a lens of school design and curriculum delivery for high ability students, the book provides descriptions and examples of best practices to challenge our talented learners using a differentiated, specialized curriculum. I highly recommend this book to school administrators and personnel who are interested in improving the education for our most talented learners.

Excellent resource for all educators supporting high ability learners
As a supervisor of gifted education programs, and past-professor of gifted education graduate courses, this book is a must-read to help all gifted education professionals. It includes a variety of different types of services for all ages and needs of high ability learners who come from different backgrounds. Even if you work in a regular public school, this book provides helpful resources and examples of how to create a better program within your own school. I highly recommend it to teachers, gifted education supervisors, administrators, and those who teach in higher education.
