Getting into the nation’s most competitive universities requires more than a good SAT score—it requires a perfect score. Perfect 800: SAT Math gives advanced students the tools needed to master the SAT math test. Covering areas including arithmetic concepts, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and additional topics such as probability and weighted average, this book offers exposure to a wide range of degrees of difficulty in a holistic approach that allows students to experience the “real thing,” including the impact of time constraints on their performance. By emphasizing critical thinking and analytic skills over memorization and trial and error, this book ensures optimal usage of time and maximizes the pace of progress as students prepare for the all-important test. This book includes access to an online simulated test and an in-depth analysis tool that provides students with an assessment of their results and a list of recommendations for an improved performance.

The previous edition of this book was chosen with high praise as a textbook for the National Society for the Gifted and Talented’s Summer Institute for the Gifted program in 2014 and 2015.

Perfect 800: SAT Math
“Nothing that is worth knowing can be taught.”
~ Oscar Wilde
Dr. Dan Celenti is the man—an “old school” great teacher with fresh “new school” techniques. If he were alive today, Wilde would appreciate Dr. Dan and his steadfast commitment to educate, to engage, to enlighten and to entertain today’s talented young people. I am confident that this legendary Irish poet, novelist and iconoclast would have both thoroughly enjoyed conversing with a kindred spirit like Dr. Dan and using his updated and expanded PERFECT 800: SAT MATH.

A gifted teacher in the best sense of word, Dr. Dan “speaks” to his myriad readers—young and old—of the beauty, the simplicity, the philosophy and the practicality of mathematics not just on standardized tests but also in life itself. Especially noteworthy are his clear informative tables and Mind Games. In fact, all tables and problems throughout the text are concise, precise, unambiguous and surprisingly inviting. This book is worth your time, money and effort.

The paragon of SAT preparation books - it prepares the ideal candidate!
This is the best book on SAT Math I've seen in years! I find Dr. Celenti's philosophy of aiming at perfect scores in math extremely appropriate for students applying to Ivy League schools, or who would like to maximize their chances of getting a merit scholarship at good schools. It emphasizes analytical skills over memorization and "trial-and-error" techniques, and together with the new mind/logic games prepares students not only for SAT, but also for college, and college life.
This updated version not only doubles the number of problems (and logic games) but, by the way the new 100 problems are grouped, gives students a tool to ease their way through levels of difficulties (from easy to hard) which is extremely helpful!
