Must Have
This book is a MUST HAVE! After failed methods I finally found an effective way to support my daughter. My child always felt that stress was bad but after reading this she realized "stress is not the enemy." This book is a great resource with activities to support evidence based cognitive strategies. It's very practical. The author did a fabulous job in tying the different areas with activities. 

   This book is insightful and highly practical. I cannot recommend it enough! It is an excellent read and provides journal writing to increase understanding.

Every Teenage Girl Should Read It!!
Having lived with levels of stress and anxiety through childhood, teenage years and young adult, I was looking for a book like this when I was 15. As a university student I spent time presenting engineering workshops and career seminars to high school students. Seeing the levels of stress some of these students were under was horrible. This book is beautiful, lovely, informative, EMPOWERING, starts a conversation and is a MUST for any girl who feels that tightness in the chest and isn't sure what it is or what to do about it.

Great Tool for Understanding/Handling Stress and Anxiety
After reading Letting Go, I think it's a really great resource for young girls that are challenged with high stress and anxiety. It does read at a very high level and more like a workbook, though, so I worry about its accessibility to younger audiences. It might be more effective for parents and their children to read this together instead of giving this to a child to work through on their own. This book would be a great tool in school guidance counselor offices, too. And maybe even a resource for some teacher training as well. Definitely recommend.

A Tool I Wish I Had from a Younger Age!
This book is going to help so many girls and young women ...I'd even say of all ages! I only wish I had this book and its tools at a much younger age. The tools and examples the author walks you through are invaluable, breaking down causes of and ways to identify responses to anxiety and stress. She then takes the reader through ways to manage these responses and wraps up with how to shift thoughts, outlooks, and even breathing and mindfulness practices. All tools I just started learning, but would've been incredibly useful to have used in my earlier years to build upon as life got more complicated! I also love how the book is designed to be more like an interactive workbook to work through each area being taught. I highly recommend this for any girls or young women in your life (or even moms of young girls!) who may be just starting to encounter experiences with anxiety or stress or have been and could use some tools to help work through those feelings to thrive and rise above them!

The book I wish I had in high school
This is the book I WISH I had in high school! When I was in high school I had anxiety and depression that led to deeper issues as a young adult because I didn’t learn how to deal with it until it had already caused significant harm on my life. If I had had such a loving, clearly articulated and helpful book as this one, I have a feeling I would have avoided a lot of the challenges I faced. Christine does such a fabulous job of weaving in stories from other youth with important lessons about stress and anxiety while also tying in helpful exercises to make this a hands on experience. Young girls will know they are NOT ALONE in what they are experiencing and they’ll learn ways to just let it go!

I am sooo excited this book is out in the world and know it is going to help so many young women out there!

This book gives girls and young women strategies for dealing with their stress. The book includes lots of ways to deal with your anxiety, such as recognizing “invisible monsters” and “riding the wave of panic.” I think this is a great choice for any girls and young women who want to work on managing anxiety.

Fonseca offers strategies to help teens break out of anxiety cycles and find productive ways to approach challenging situations. The writing is well suited to middle schoolers and includes stories from teens who have successfully applied the strategies in their lives. Solid advice for self-aware teens and those willing to take the time to work through the exercises.

It incorporates a lot of exercises to help manage anxiety and gives additional resources for a person to thrive in spite of having anxiety. Although written for teens, adults can also benefit from giving this book a read.
