Distance Learning Opportunities for Gifted Kids

As a teacher of gifted fourth and fifth graders in the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth’s Young Readers Series, I’ve come to discover that distance learning courses are a great way for gifted kids to allow their abilities to shine. Often, such opportunities allow their participants to interact one-on-one with their intellectual and creative peers from around the world in great courses like reading, math, engineering, and foreign languages.

There are several options for enrolling gifted kids in distance learning courses, but the best stem from the Talent Search programs and other gifted education programs at universities across the nation. Just a few of these include:
