Calculator Activities to Stretch the Mind
Calculator Activities challenged my sons math skills and way of thinking. These lessons take the "that's easy" out of math and puts math into real world experience. The dynamic way that the author has woven experiences to show that there isn't just one possible answer, but many, allows for gifted students to think outside of linear math and see that there isn't always "right answer/wrong answer" just different answers.
The teacher guides included with each lesson makes it easy to lead the student in real math self discovery.
While this workbook is written for multiple student group activities, I was easily able to adapt it to my single student in our homeschool setting. I would recommend this to any teacher working with gifted students whether math science, reading, or world view gifted these lessons would be a good fit.
