A few weeks ago, I mentioned that today happens to be one of my favorite days of the year, Read Across America day. But, I know that all of you are busy teachers who might not have the time to celebrate RAA day with full-on Dr. Seuss garb like a few fabulous Pinterest boards would have us to believe. What I bet you do have the time to do, however, is click on these links with some resources for recommended reading on gifted kids and books to share with your students.

And, since it is Read Across America day, and since being in the publishing business means we have to be readers ourselves, here's what the Prufrock staff is currently reading: Navigating Early by Clare Vanderpool, Empty Mansions by Bill Dedman and Paul Clark Newell, Jr., The Dog of the South by Charles Portis, Captain Sir Richard Francis Burton: A Biography by Edward Rice, the Sherlock Holmes stories, and The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak.
