Bob Korpella is a freelance writer and nature photographer. He has earned certification as a Master Naturalist, serving as program chair, vice-president and president of the Springfield, MO, chapter over the past several years. As a naturalist, Bob presents programs to students from preschool to high school on topics as diverse as stream ecology, fur bearers, insects, bats, and owls. He also participates in bird surveys and monitors the health of streams at 14 different sites in southwest Missouri. He has received a Choose Environmental Excellence, Water Warrior, and Stream Team Ambassador Award.
Bobâ??s nature photography has been featured in the Missouri Department of Conservation nature calendar and wildlife magazines. As a writer, Bobâ??s work has appeared in newspapers across the country as well as National Geographicâ??s Green Living.
Bob calls the Ozarks region of Missouri and Arkansas home. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas. He and his wife live in Mountain Home, where they enjoy frequent visits from their two daughters and their grandchildren. Bob also loves to camp, hike, kayak, fish, and hunt.
