Differentiating Instruction with Menus Grades 6-8, Language Arts
I highly recommend both this book and the one for social studies. It is easy to use and the menus are easily adaptable to nearly any lesson. Our district really began focusing on differentiation last year and Laurie's books have been very helpful with my transition to bringing more differentiation to my own instruction. I brought the book to a curriculum meeting two weeks ago, and my ELA colleagues were very excited to use some of the ideas in it. The Title teacher at my grade level (7th) has decided that the Title teams in each of our buildings should have copies of these books to use as a resource in planning differentiation strategies for all of our students' skill levels. If your goal is to add differentiation into your teaching and lessons, this book is an excellent resource to help you get started.
