The book is easy to navigate. The charts and lists are comprehensive and summarize the text. Each chapter begins with a summary of key points and ends with a short conclusion that makes it easy for educators to find information . . . This book should be in the reference library of every school.

This book would be a wonderful resource for any teacher who needs to provide differentiated instruction for gifted students or for any parent who needs to be an advocate for his or her child. Another one of the book's strengths is that it is written in a reader-friendly fashion, so busy teachers will find it more of a handbook than a textbook. For example, if a teacher is looking for an assessment for a new child, the educational assessment chapter has a summary of the many tests that may be used to identify mathematically talented youth. This book certainly has a place on the professional development shelf.
